National Transportation Safety Board Recommends Lower Blood Alcohol Limits

The US National Transportation Safety Board is recommending that the blood alcohol legal limit content is lowered from .08 percent to .05 percent. The board is also recommending more innovative technology to be used in drunk driving arrests as well as tougher penalties for first-offenders. The board hopes to decrease the deaths related to drivers who are under the influence of drugs and alcohol. According to the board, other countries have already lowered the legal limit.
