Russian Mob Gambling Ring, Dozens Charged

In Manhattan, a United States Attorney has released charges against nearly three dozen individuals, alleging that they ran illegal gambling games for celebrities and independently wealthy participants. Information on participants is still being gathered, but the investigation team may well uncover criminal acts by a number of prominent individuals who have not previously had criminal records. Russian mobsters are thought to have been connected with the illegal gambling scheme.
