Alicia Keys' used copyrighted material Lawsuit

Alicia Keys has settled a lawsuit originally brought forth by Earl Schuman, who helped to create a popular song from the 1960s titled “Lonely Boy”. Schuman alleged that Keys had used copyrighted material for the song “Girl on Fire”, but instead of proceeding through the full legal system, Keys and Schuman were able to reach a private settlement. The details were not revealed.
