President Obama Refuses to Get Involved in Zimmerman Civil Rights Dispute

President Barack Obama refuses to become involved in the dispute as to whether or not to pursue charges against Florida resident George Zimmerman who has been found not guilty in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. Jay Carney, White House spokesman, stated that it would not be appropriate for the President to express his opinion about the way the Justice Department handles the matter. The department is determining whether federal charges are warranted.
